Tagua is a fruit seed that comes from a palm tree that grows in the tropical rainforests of the South American. The nuts range in size from a cherry to a grapefruit and are very similar to animal ivory in texture, hardness and color. The nut is harvested after it falls from the palm tree, so no trees are harmed in the collection of these nuts.
