Fall Events 2011September 3 - 4, 2011 - Annual Labor Day Weekend Invitaional Arts & Crafts ShowSponsored by the Pier Village Association September 16-18, 2011 - Shrimp & Grits Festival on Jekyll Island, GA October 8 - 9 2011 - Glynn Art in the Park Glynn Art Association is the oldest premier sponsor of artin the Golden Isles of Georgia, with years of experience organizing art festivals as well as gallery exhibits. The 42nd Annual Fall “Glynn Art in the Park” Fine Arts Festival is held in Postell Park on St. Simons Island, under live oak trees and surrounded by history. The festival is located in the heart of St. Simon’s Village, next to the historical lighthouse, fishing pier, shopping and restaurants. November 5, 2011 - Darien Fall Festival Come celebrate fall at the Darien Fall Fest on Satuday, Nov. 5, from 10am until 5pm. Fall Fest activities simultaneously occur in historic downtown Darien, at nearby Ashantilly Center and at Fort King George Historic Site. Food and fun abound at this seasonal-themed event, which highlights coastal Georgia's Scottish heritage, the cultural bounty, and maritime legacy. Brose down Darien's Broad Street for arts and crafts, a juried art show and antiques. Savor the delicious regional cuisine and mouthwatering desserts in the food court. The festival opens with a Doggy Day Parade at 10am. During the day, see live performances by local entertainers. The all-day Classic Car Exhibit can be found at Vernon Square, just steps from the waterfront, while hourly children's activities take place at the Waterfront Park and under the Darien River Bridge. |

September 23rd Workshop:
Changing Seasons Earrings
Learn basic wire working techniques and create your own interchangeable silver earrings. In this workshop you will learn about different wires and wire gauges, how to create a P loop, eye loop and wire wrapped loop. You will then wire wrap your choice of 3 different color Czech glass leaf beads to add to your earrings. These beads can be changed out with the season. You will end up with enough beads to create 3 different pairs of earrings!
